- Reckon offers desktop accounting as well as cloud software, which suits a business that wants its books on its own computer. Source
- Live bank feeds and direct ATO lodgement (BAS and STP) are still in development at AccountsAndGo. Today you import bank transactions by CSV and prepare BAS ready to lodge. If you need those two things live right now, an established product may suit you better for the moment.
Moving from Reckon
There is no direct Reckon import yet. Export your bank transactions and contacts as CSV files and import them into AccountsAndGo, which sets up an Australian chart of accounts for you.
Reckon and AccountsAndGo: common questions
- Is AccountsAndGo a desktop program?
- No. It runs in your browser and on your phone, so there is nothing to install or back up, and your accountant can be invited in rather than sent a file.
- Can I import my Reckon data?
- By CSV today: bank transactions and contacts import directly. A one-step Reckon import is not available yet.
- What does the cash-flow forecast show?
- Thirteen weeks ahead, built from the bills, wages, super and ATO amounts you actually owe and the income you expect, with the week your balance would fall below the floor you set.
