Banking with Revolut Business?
Accounting that connects to your Revolut Business account
AccountsAndGo links to Revolut Business with your own API certificate and brings your transactions in every day — no spreadsheets, no exporting, no re-keying. It is built in Australia for Australian tax, so the same transactions become your GST and your BAS.
What the connection does today
- Connects with your own Revolut Business API certificate — you create it, you can revoke it from the Revolut app at any time.
- Pulls completed and pending transactions into your bank feed automatically, once a day.
- Brings balances across for each Revolut account, so what you hold is visible beside what you owe.
- Feeds straight into cash-flow forecasting, GST and BAS preparation — the transactions are not a separate silo.
It cannot move your money
The connection is read-only by construction. Revolut lets an application ask for permission to make payments, manage counterparties and read card details; AccountsAndGo asks for none of them. It requests permission to read your transactions and nothing else, so the credential it holds cannot move money out of your account.
Why it suits businesses on Revolut
- You are more likely to be paying overseas suppliers or billing overseas customers, and multi-currency is normal rather than an edge case.
- You are more likely to be a newer company without twenty years of history in another ledger.
- You already chose a bank built around an API, so an accounting system that reads it directly is the obvious shape.
What is not ready yet
- Australian bank feeds (CBA, NAB, ANZ, Westpac and the rest) run through the Consumer Data Right and are still in development. For those accounts you import by CSV, or directly from Xero.
- Revolut accounts held in other currencies are listed but not imported yet. Your AUD accounts come through; a EUR, GBP or USD account is shown so you can see it, and left out of the ledger until foreign-currency handling is finished — putting a EUR transaction into an AUD ledger would make the totals wrong in a way that looks right.
- Direct lodgement of BAS and STP to the ATO is still in development. The app calculates and prepares them ready to lodge.
Xero also offers a Revolut Business direct feed in Australia, syncing roughly every four to six hours. If you are happy in Xero, that works and there is no reason to move for the feed alone. Xero’s own page on it, checked 2026-10-04.
Questions
- Does AccountsAndGo connect to Revolut Business?
- Yes. You create an API certificate inside Revolut Business and authorise AccountsAndGo once. From then on your transactions arrive automatically each day. You can revoke access from the Revolut app whenever you like.
- How often does it sync?
- Once a day, automatically. You can also press Sync at any time if you want the latest transactions straight away.
- Can AccountsAndGo move money out of my Revolut account?
- No, and not as a matter of policy — as a matter of permission. Revolut asks which permissions an application should have, and AccountsAndGo requests only the one that reads transactions. It does not request permission to make payments, to manage counterparties or to read card details, so the credential it holds cannot do those things.
- What happens to my EUR, GBP or USD Revolut accounts?
- They are shown so you can see they exist, and they are not imported into the ledger yet. Foreign-currency handling is still being finished, and putting a EUR transaction into an Australian-dollar ledger would produce totals that look correct and are not. Your AUD accounts come through today.
- Can I prepare my BAS from Revolut transactions?
- Yes. Transactions from Revolut are ordinary bank transactions once they arrive, so they flow into GST calculation and BAS preparation like any other. Lodging the BAS directly to the ATO is still in development; today AccountsAndGo prepares it ready to lodge.
- Do I still need Xero?
- No, though you can run both while you decide. AccountsAndGo imports from Xero directly, so you can bring your accounts, contacts, invoices and transactions across and compare the two using your own numbers before changing anything.
- Where is my data stored?
- In Sydney. AccountsAndGo runs in Google Cloud's australia-southeast1 region and is built for Australian tax rules and the Australian Privacy Principles.
- What does it cost?
- There is a free tier, and paid tiers differ by the number of people on the account rather than by which accounting features you get. Current prices are on the pricing page.
