When Wave may suit you better
- Wave's Starter plan costs $0, which makes it an easy way to try bookkeeping and invoicing. Source
- Wave's payroll is available in the US and Canada. If your business is based there, that is a genuine advantage. Source
- Live bank feeds and direct ATO lodgement (BAS and STP) are still in development at AccountsAndGo. Today you import bank transactions by CSV and prepare BAS ready to lodge. If you need those two things live right now, an established product may suit you better for the moment.
Moving from Wave
There is no direct Wave import yet. Export your bank transactions and contacts as CSV files and import them, and AccountsAndGo sets up an Australian chart of accounts for you.

- Is AccountsAndGo free like Wave?
- AccountsAndGo has a free core tier for one business. Paid plans add more businesses and team members, and are priced by seats.
- Does AccountsAndGo do Australian payroll?
- Yes. It calculates PAYG withholding to the ATO's Schedule 1, the Medicare levy and super, and produces payslips. Lodging Single Touch Payroll reports with the ATO is in development.
- Can I move from Wave to AccountsAndGo?
- By CSV today: bank transactions and contacts import directly. A one-step Wave import is not available yet.
