Frequently asked
Where exactly is my data stored?
Every document, file and function runs in Google Cloud's australia-southeast1 region, physically in Sydney. Your records and files at rest do not leave Australia. It is a constraint in our infrastructure, not a setting.
Is my data sent overseas for AI features?
No. Max runs in the same Sydney region, in-region under a data-protection agreement, and your inputs are not used to train AI models.
Does anything leave Australia?
Your records and files stay in Sydney. A few account services are provided from overseas (sign-in, payments, email delivery and SMS), each handling only what it needs. We name every one on our Subprocessors page.
Can I connect my bank?
You can import transactions by CSV, straight from Xero or MYOB, or through a live read-only feed for Revolut Business. Feeds for the Australian banks go through the Consumer Data Right (Open Banking) and are in development.
How does this compare to overseas platforms?
Many global platforms store Australian business data in overseas data centres, which can raise questions under the Australian Privacy Principles, particularly APP 8 (cross-border disclosure). AccountsAndGo keeps your records in Sydney by design.
